DONATIONS OF PIZZA, SNACKS AND REFRESHMENTS DURING HAZMAT INCIDENT IN SUMMIT HILL

Local, state and federal officials were on seen a couple days over the past week. Members of the Tamaqua Salvation Army and donators provided food and refreshments during the incident. Pictured is fire police volunteer Joseph “Joe” Seaver detouring pedestrian and vehicle traffic around the area.

Tamaqua Salvation Army Major Sharon Whispell stated her appreciation to a number of local businesses that stepped up to donate items to emergency responders on scene during a hazardous material incident recently in Summit Hill.
Verbal appreciations were given to (in no specific order) Dominos of Tamaqua, La Dolce Casa of Tamaqua, McDonalds of Nesquehoning, Boyers Food Market in Tamaqua, Burger King in Tamaqua, WalMart in Hometown, WalMart in Lehighton, All Star Beer in Summit Hill, Russos in Summit Hill and others.
Whispell said, “I wanted to say a personal thank you to everyone of you who donated and supported us the weekend in Summit Hill. I love how our communities come together to support one another in times of need. Thank you again and we give all the glory to God.”
