FIREFIGHTERS EXTRICATE MAN FROM OVERTURNED VEHICLE IN WEST PENN

A pizza delivery person suffered unknown injuries after overturning his vehicle last night (Monday, May 18, 2015) along Clamtown Road (SR443) in West Penn Township. Emergency personnel were dispatched around 8:45 PM to Clamtown Road (just north of the West Penn Rod and Gun Club) for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment and injury.
Firefighters with the West Penn Fire Company No. 1 used hydraulic cutting tools to cut the roof off the overturned vehicle (a brown Chevrolet sedan) to safely remove the driver from the vehicle. Also on scene were Tamaqua Ambulance and West Penn Township Police.
West Penn Fire Police controlled traffic around the scene for the duration.
