Tamaqua Auto Parts Buys old CVS Building, East Broad Street, Tamaqua, 5-14-2015 (3)I was away, so this story is delayed.
Last Tuesday (May 12, 2015), the old CVS building 1099 East Broad Street, in Tamaqua was sold for $83,600 to Sal Modesto, who owns Tamaqua Auto (NAPA) Parts next door.
Approximately a dozen people attended the auction, held by Tranzon Hanley Auctions.
Built in 2001, the 10,880-square-foot building was occupied by CVS until 2006 after an engineering report found that the building had settled due to the instability of the fill beneath it.
Staff at Tamaqua Auto Parts stated they don’t expect any major changes in the near future, since it was just purchased.
