LAST CALL FOR QUAKAKE FIRE CHIEF SCOTT BRILL

Funeral for Scott Brill, Quakake Fire Chief, Hometown, Quakake, 5-9-2015 (209)Firefighters, family, friends and community members came together on Friday (May 8, 2015) to remember Quakake Fire Chief J. Scott Brill Jr. who passed away Wednesday, My 6, 2015. Brill joined the Quakake Fire Company in 1981 and had served as its chief since 1987.
The funeral procession consisted of about two dozen emergency service vehicles. After departing from the Lamar Christ Funeral Home in Hometown, the procession traveled through Quakake, where it passed under a fire truck ladder arch staged outside the Quakake Fire Company social hall. From there, the procession continued to Sky-View Memorial Park, passing under another fire truck ladder arch at the Five Points intersection in Hometown.
Funeral for Scott Brill, Quakake Fire Chief, Hometown, Quakake, 5-9-2015 (46)A diesel mechanic and truck driver for much of his life, Brill was employed by D & S Transportation, Andreas, and FCI Trucking, Freehold, N.J. Born in Pottsville, Brill was the husband of Dana (Zeth) Brill for 22 years. He was a son of Lorraine “Sissy” (Argust) Brill, and the late J. Scott Brill Sr. He was a 1983 graduate of MMI Preparatory School in Freeland, and studied at Northeastern University in Boston.
Taking part in the procession were Quakake Fire Company, Hometown Fire Company, New Columbus Fire Company of Nesquehoning, Delano Fire Company, McAdoo Fire Company, West Penn Fire Company, Coaldale Fire Company, Walker Township (New England) Fire Company, East End Fire Company of Tamaqua, Tamaqua Rescue, Oakland Township Fire Company, Ryan Township Ambulance, Rush Township Police, Hometown Fire Police, Schuylkill County Communications Center, Schuylkill Historical Fire Society, and others.
