SGT. MAJOR OF THE U.S. ARMY SPEAKS TO PANTHER VALLEY J.R.O.T.C.

Sgt Major of Army, JROTC,  Carbon County Safety Day, Mauch Chunk Park, Jim Th (45)Sergeant Major of the Army Daniel A. Dailey, a Palmerton native who serves as the highest enlisted rank in the United States Army, spoke to members of the Panther Valley JROTC and future soldiers following a public speech he gave during last Saturday’s (May 2, 2015) Carbon County Safety Day held at Mauch Chunk Lake State Park.
Dailey became the 15th Sergeant Major of the United States Army on January 30, 2015. He is a combat veteran with four deployments to Operation Iraqi Freedom and one in support of Operation Desert Storm. He was a command sergeant major for most of those tours, responsible for training, leading, mentoring and developing Soldiers into leaders. He will succeed Sergeant Major of the Army Raymond F. Chandler, III, who has served in that position since March 2011.
