
US209 was closed for about an hour yesterday (Friday, May 8, 2015) between Coaldale and Tamaqua while emergency crews responded to a report of a vehicle into a pole with possible entrapment.
According to officials, two adults and three children suffered minor to moderate injuries after the sport utility vehicle they were in crashed into a communications pole around 2 PM along US209. As of last night, all those involved were said to be back home.
Responding were Coaldale Fire Company, Coaldale Police Department, Tamaqua Police Department, Coaldale Fire Police, and Tamaqua Fire Police.
The road was opened around 3:15 PM.
