Starting around 2 PM, US209 was closed today (Friday, May 8, 2015) between Coaldale and Tamaqua after a sport utility vehicle crashed into a pole.
An anonymous news tip to TamaquaArea.com stated that the single-vehicle crash involved two adults and three small children. They added that there were no serious injuries.
Tamaqua’s and Coaldale’s Fire Police volunteers helped to detour traffic away from the scene.
Tara Dolzani said on Facebook that the road is now open. (3:15 PM).
