Without hesitation, Turkey Hill in Tamaqua donated an unlimited supply of hot coffee and hot chocolate to firefighters and other emergency responders battling a house fire in West Penn Township late Friday into Saturday morning. Temperatures averaged 39 degrees that night.
“Staff at two other Tamaqua establishments that sold coffee said they couldn’t help,” said Tamaqua Volunteers president, who stopped at all area establishments that sold coffee. “Without hesitation, Turkey Hill said I could take all the hot refreshments I wanted for all the emergency responders and firefighters. They even donated creamers and sugars.”
“This isn’t the first time the Tamaqua Turkey Hill came to the aid of our emergency responders,” added the group president. “They’ve donated hot refreshments during numerous fires.”
“Next time you think of buying gas or other items from a convenience store or restaurant, remember to show patronage to those that support your community,” stressed the president.
Thank you Tamaqua Turkey Hill!
