Information from Paul Ford, Tim Ziegler and Jenny Miller on Facebook reads:
“Have you ever stumbled and when you looked up, there was an outstretched hand ready to pull you back up onto your feet?
This campaign is to help a United States Navy veteran, friend, neighbor, husband and most importanly, a father.
Six years ago, Eric found himself rising as a young entrepreneur in Maryland. Hard work and dedication were no stranger to the young vet with dreams of success. After buying a new home, renovating and building his life, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The business he had worked for was gone. The house was foreclosed and his dreams were shattered. The cancer however, was pushed into remission. So, Eric packed up and moved back home to start over.
Almost four years in remission, a new career, new bride, and new baby boy, things were starting to look up. That until recently the cancer came back. Forced to undergo chemotherapy treatments, once again. Forced to walk away from a career with promise and try to focus on staying positive in the face of so much adversity. He still lights up when talking about his son and wife. With the ever increasing stack of bills, needs of a growing toddler and family, the financial burden is far more than one person on short-term disability can even attempt to handle.
As a community of friends, neighbors, fellow veterans, and all around good people, let’s be the out-stretched hand. Let’s help this young veteran and father up while he battles this debilitating illness. Let’s take some of the burden off of Eric’s shoulders and those of his family.
Any donation will be greatly apprectiated!
Thank you!”
