TAMAQUA ‘RAIDER’ WIND ENSEMBLE, CONCERT BAND, AND JAZZ BAND PERFORM IN TAMAQUA

Tamaqua Area ‘Raider’ Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and Jazz Band presented their annual spring concert yesterday (Thursday, April 23, 2015) in the Tamaqua Area auditorium. The combined ensembles included over 130 students from grades 7 through 12 performing music from a variety of styles and periods.
The performance was be directed by Mark E. Beltz, Tamaqua Area High School Band Director.
Appreciations were given to:
– Tamaqua Board of Education, administration, faculty and staff for their support of the music department throughout the school district.
– Mr. Stephen Toth, Mr. Tom McCabe and Mr. Christopher Czapla for their continued support.
– The Tamaqua Area Band Boosters for their contributions to the betterment of the music program in the Tamaqua Area School District.
– All the parents, friends and relatives for their tireless effort that they put forth to make music alive in our schools.
