PRESS RELEASE – Mauch Chunk Trust Company, with two branch offices in Schuylkill County and five in Carbon County, rallied to raise $750 for the Family Promise of Carbon County.  A Lobby Soup Day was organized at Redner’s Warehouse Branch Office in Nesquehoning and at the North Street Branch Office in Jim Thorpe.  Donations were accepted as people enjoyed a cup of delicious homemade soup to benefit the Family Promise of Carbon County in their mission to aid low income families.  All of the MCT employees were able to participate in the efforts by individually donating money for a chance to dress down for the day.  Other employees donated their time and talents making soup for the event. Local area business, Rainbow’s End Café in Jim Thorpe, donated the soup containers for the day.
“The majority of our program is funded through the generosity of the community,” stated executive director of Family Promise of Carbon County, Natalie Bojko. “Today I had the privilege of witnessing the generosity of the MCT community. We are grateful for the time, talent, and kindness each employee showed for the guests of Family Promise of Carbon County.”
“Family Promise will put all of these funds to good use through the programs they offer,” stated Dianna Ahner, Branch Manager of the MCT Redner’s Warehouse branch in Nesquehoning.  “This was MCT’s way of bringing attention to a great organization.  MCT is known for serving the financial needs of our customers but we also believe that serving the needs of our communities is our privilege.”
