CANCERTELETHON.ORG CHINESE AUCTION DRAWS IMPRESSIVE CROWD

Over 700 visitors showed up Sunday (March 29, 2015) to try their luck during the CancerTelethon.org’s Annual Chinese Auction held at the Lakeside Ballroom in Barnesville.
The event, organized by Mary Ann Dulaney and her daughter Jessica Kutza, both of Coaldale, offered over 600 prizes; which included a $1,000 cash prize, Apple IPad Air w/wi-fi, 4 Disney Hopper passes, American Girl of the Year, Xbox One w/Assassin’s Creed Bundle, gift certificate for fuel oil, Nascar Sprint Cup Tickets, Gas gift Card, Overnight Stays, Wine Tasting Tour, Fire Pit, Kindle Paperwhite, 50” HD TV, Phillies Tickets, Lowes Gift Cards, Doll House, area restaurant gift certificate packs and more.
Entertainment was provided by Polka Joe of WMGH 105.5 radio.
Longtime volunteer Joe Krushinsky served as MC and announcer for the event.
Kutza said that all the proceeds of the auction go to the American Cancer Society.
“We’ve gotten so many surprise gifts,” said Kutza previously. “That motivates us even more to keep going. The amount of community support is truly amazing.”
The Cancer Telethon will be broadcasted live on BRC TV-13 (channel 13), Service Electric Cable TV (channel 90), http://www.CancerTelethon.org and TamaquaArea.com on Saturday, April 11, 2015 and Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 12 PM to 12 AM (both days) at Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe. Committee members stressed that the public is encouraged to stop by Penn’s Peak and enjoy all the live entertainment.
Both Delaney and Kutza stated their appreciation to all the volunteers and supporters of the event.
