UPDATE:
Campaign stopped by organizer due to poor customer service from GoFundMe.
$2,995 is the goal.
The Tamaqua Volunteers Community Initiative Group (TVCIG) is asking Tamaqua area residents and businesses for donations towards a community dunk tank to be used by local non-profits and such for various fundraisers.
Currently, the Citizen Fire Company of Tamaqua lends their dunk tank out to all organizations. In addition, they rarely expect a donation. Sadly, their dunk tank is in very bad shape and almost unusable.
TVCIG is hoping to raise enough donations to purchase a strong durable foldable dunk tank to be loaned to local non-profits and such AND to repair the fire company’s old dunk tank (for use only at the fire company).
If enough money is raised, the new dunk tank will belong to Citizen’s Fire Company and given out at their time and discretion. Anyone borrowing the foldable dunk tank would be asked to give a very small donation to the fire company for use of the dunk tank.
A new collapsible, portable (powder-coated) dunk tank would cost $1995/plus tax and $300 for shipping. Click HERE (or HERE) to view the portable dunk tank the group is looking to buy for the fire company. In addition, repairs to the fire company’s old dunk tank would cost around $700. Total needed is $2,995.
The are three ways you can donate:
1. Online at http://www.gofundme.com/TamaquaDunkTank.
2. Mail donation to Citizen’s Fire Company No. 1, 99 West Rowe Street, Tamaqua PA 18252. Put “Dunk Tank Donation” in the memo line.
3. Give donation to any Citizen’s Fire Company member.
