
Students at St. Jerome Regional School in Tamaqua were treated to fun learning programs during the school’s annual Science and Technology Week held recently.
“Science and technology are important subjects in the field of education,” said Principal Maryann Mansell previously. “At SJRS we choose a week every March to celebrate Science/technology in our school and in our community. Special events and speakers are planned. The students make special projects this month to show their skills in these areas.”
Some activities/events included a Schuylkill County Drug and Alcohol Program via Diane Rowland, My Blood, Your Blood program via the Miller Keystone Group, Computer class open house via Mrs. Lisa Behr, Internet Safety via presented by Janene Holter (State Attorney General’s Office), Medical Profession/Healthy Habits program via by Dr. Joanne Calabrese, Anatomy/Science classes via Dr. Jamie Mansell (Professor at Temple University), and others.
