
Volunteers are in full-swing preparing for the annual Carbon-Tamaqua Unit of the American Cancer Society Telethon Committee Chinese Auction set for Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Lakeside Ballroom in Barnesville.
Doors open at 11:30 AM. Start time is 2:30 PM.
Event coordinators and long-time volunteers Mary Ann Dulaney and her daughter Jessica Kutza, both from Coaldale, have been working non-stop in preparation for the large event.
There will be chances to win selective raffle prizes, 50/50 drawings, great food, fresh baked goods and candy. In addition, Polka Joe from WMGH 105.5 radio will be live from 9 AM – 1 PM.
Some of the top prizes on the specially purchased “white ticket” include a Dell laptop computer, $1,000 CASH prize, Apple ipad Air w/wi-fi, 4 Disney Hopper passes, American Girl of the Year, Xbox One w/Assassin’s Creed Bundle, gift certificate for fuel oil, Nascar Sprint Cup Tickets, Gas gift Card, Overnight Stays, Wine Tasting Tour, Fire Pit, Kindle Paperwhite, 50” HD TV, Phillies Tickets, Lowes Gift Cards, Doll House, and area restaurant gift certificate packs.
Everyone will be able to take chances on hundreds of other items. Credit cards are accepted.
Delaney added that bakers are always needed.

Proceeds will be presented at the Annual ACS Telethon that airs April 11 and 12, 2015 at Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe and will broadcast live on BRC TV-13 and Service Electric cable TV. The public is invited to attend the telethon and enjoy all of the live entertainment.
