A woman suffered minor injuries after crashing her vehicle into the side of a bridge along Claremont Avenue (SR309) around 10:15 AM today (Friday, March 20, 2015) in Rush Township.
The woman, traveling north on SR309 in a Volkswagen GTI, apparently lost control and veered into the southbound lane, where she impacted the side of a bridge and connected guard rail located across from Two Kings Pizza. She was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Responding were Hometown Fire Company, Tamaqua Rescue Squad, Tamaqua Ambulance, and others.
Hometown Fire Police assisted Rush Township Police with traffic control.
