Instructor Shannon Marsyada will be holding weekly music inspiration classes at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center starting Thursday, March 19, 2015. The classes, titled Inspire Music, will be separated into two groups. The 5 to 11 age group will be every Thursday from 5:30 PM to 7 PM, while the 12 to 18 age group will meet from 7 PM to 8:30 PM.
Dates of the classes are March 19 & 26; April 2, 9, 16 & 23, 2015.
Cost is $5 for registration and $10 class fee every week.
Younger class will involve the exploration of music, feel rhythms, learn musical properties and genres, create your own instruments. Older class will involve learning how to express emotions through music, pen your emotions, brainstorming, word swapping and develop your skills to write your own song while learning genres and rhythms.
The center is located at 125 Pine Street in Tamaqua.

Marsyada’s bio: Inspire Music was developed by Shannon Marsyada in 2010-2012 as she taught music classes at the former McAdoo Catholic school. She is a licensed professional singer/songwriter and hold achievements such as being selected by the NY Songwriters hall of fame as a new artist, and was featured on their annual release in 2011. Several of her musical selections were featured for film and TV projects both for the Indie film makers and in Japan. She is currently working on her 5th album. She finds music to be therapeutic and works those properties.
