Our area is expected to receive up to a quarter-inch of ice by late tonight (Tuesday, March 3, 2015). So be careful if you have to drive. Freezing rain will make for hard visibility with or without the use of wiper blades, due to sleet freezing on the wiper blades.
Snow, sleet and freezing rain will continue to around 11 PM tonight, then changing over to a mixture of sleet, freezing rain and showers.
On-and-off showers and drizzle will follow and last until tomorrow evening, when it will change back to freezing rain and snow showers.
Expect an additional snow accumulation of about 2 to 6 inches by Thursday evening.
The National Weather Center in State College has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 7 PM Wednesday and Winter Storm Warning from 7 PM Wednesday to 7 PM Thursday.
