GUARD RAIL PREVENTS DRIVER FROM CRASHING DOWN EMBANKMENT NEAR MARY D

A lone guard rail prevented a driver and his van from crashing down a snowy embankment near Mary D in Schuylkill Township this evening (Sunday, March 1, 2015).
The incident occurred around 5 PM at the Mary D turnoff just off of US209.
No injuries were observed.
A witness said they driver was traveling from WilkesBarre to Reading on US209 when he lost control on the snow-covered road.
The van was towed by Hope’s Towing and Collision.
