UPDATE: Elinor Trotta was recovered safely in Massachusetts. Michael Trotta is in custody.

According to MissingKids.com and New Jersey State Police Facebook page, the Delaware State Police have activated an AMBER Alert at the request of New Castle County Police for a 3-year-old child, Elinor Trotta.
Police believe the child is in imminent danger.
The alert was issued after the suspect, Michael Trotta, age 39, came into the child’s residence, assaulted the child’s mother and took the child.
The suspect fled the scene and may be headed to New Jersey or New York City.
Elinor is described as being heavy set (60 pounds), having shoulder-length hair, and last seen wearing a purple puffy coat, pink pants and “Frozen” sneakers.
Michael is described as white, 160 pounds,  5′ 8″ tall, balding and might have a scruffy beard and/or mustache.
