If you drove by the Furniture Connection store in Hometown recently, you’d find it hard to miss all the neon signs. Business owners Sonny and Mary said all the signs were placed to announce Sonny’s upcoming retirement from the business. To celebrate, they said they are offering much of their inventory with up to 70 percent off.
Even though Sonny will be retired, Mary said she’ll remain and plans to keep things running for many years to come.
Sonny and Mary, of Jim Thorpe, have been together and operating the store since 1985.
Including the downstairs, the store has about 4,000 square feet of showroom.
Sonny said the building was built in 1957 and served as locations for Triangle Furniture, Cascades, shoe factory, lamp factory, beer barn and so on.
Their phone number is (570) 668-5553.
