Wind chills today (Thursday, February 19, 2015) and Friday are expected to stay in the negatives.
Regular temperatures will reach minus 7 degrees around 7 AM on Friday, bringing wind chills around minus 28 degrees.
Temperatures will rise to between 22 and 38 degrees on Saturday and Sunday. There is an 80 percent of rain or freezing rain on Sunday.
Monday will bring mostly sunny weather and temperatures ranging between minus 1 and positive 23 degrees.
National Weather Service in State College issued a Wind Chill Advisory for our area ending 10 AM Friday.
It reads:

* HAZARDS… DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS.
* WIND CHILLS… 10 TO 25 DEGREES BELOW ZERO.
* TIMING… WIND CHILLS WILL DIP TO AROUND 15 DEGREES BELOW ZERO BY DAYBREAK TODAY. HOWEVER… THE LOWEST WIND CHILLS OF 20 TO 25 BELOW ZERO WILL OCCUR TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING.
* IMPACTS… FROSTBITE TO EXPOSED SKIN IN 30 MINUTES.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
IF YOU WILL BE OUTDOORS… DRESS IN LAYERS AND WEAR A HAT AND GLOVES. YOUNG CHILDREN… THE ELDERLY AND THE HOMELESS ARE ESPECIALLY VULNERABLE TO THE COLD. APPROPRIATE ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN TO ENSURE PETS HAVE ADEQUATE PROTECTION FROM THE COLD TEMPERATURES.
