A young driver escaped serious injury after losing control of his pickup truck, crashing through a wire guardrail and down an embankment today (Thursday, February 12, 2015) in Rush Township. Officials on scene stated he did not suffer serious injuries. The truck was a white 2007 Dodge RAM.
The accident occurred around 5:10 PM on the northbound side of Fairview Street, just north of the Marian Avenue intersection.
This area of Fairview Street (and Marian Avenue) is the same location of numerous other vehicle accidents over the past two months. Officials added that most of the accidents were faults of the drivers and not related to the condition of the road.
Responding were Rush Township Police and Hometown Fire Police.
Hope’s Towing removed the vehicle.
