The Tamaqua Area High School Raider Band donated two older uniforms to the Tamaqua Historical Society. Donnie Serfass, Historical Society member, stated that Mark Beltz, band director, got permission from the Tamaqua Area School Board for the donation.
This year, the 170-member band replaced their 13-year old uniforms with new ones (article). These uniforms were worn from 2001 to 2013.
Beltz added that they still have many older uniforms for sale. They are $25 each and include hats, plumes, jackets, and blue pants. All checks should be made out to Tamaqua Area School District. Anyone interested should contact Beltz at mbeltz@tamaqua.k12.pa.us.
