According to the Service Electric Cablevision website, cable workers are performing important system upgrades in Tamaqua on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 and Wednesday, February 4, 2015. The upgrades are related to the addition of fiber optic lines and nodes. Service Electric will be offering faster internet speeds in our area in the next few months.

The notice reads:

Tamaqua Residents: Important System Upgrade Information

We will be performing system upgrades in the Tamaqua areas listed below on Tuesday, February 3rd and Wednesday, February 4th beginning at 7am. High-Speed Internet, TV and Phone services will be interrupted for approximately 1-2 hours. We thank you for your patience as we upgrade our service to better serve you.

Tuesday, February 3rd
Rowe Street, Route 309 , Pine Street, Union Street, Rolling Mill Road, Schuylkill Avenue, Brew Street, Locust Street, Elm Street, East Vine Street, Mauch Chunk Street, East Broad Street, North Railroad Street.

Wednesday, February 4th
