The Mahanoy City Police Department and Mayor Nancy Petritsch are encouraging borough residents to register with their Nixle Alert System, which provides residents with important alerts and other public safety issues.
Residents can sign-up at the bottom of the department’s website at http://www.mahanoycitypolice.us or by texting your zip code to 888777. (normal texting fees apply)
They are also letting residents know that the Mayor has issued a snow parking ban late tonight (Sunday, February 1, 2015) starting at 12 midnight and ending at 7 AM on Monday on the following streets: Centre Street, Main Street, South Street from 2nd Street west to Borough line.
