EXPECT 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW FOR TAMAQUA AREA; WIND CHILLS TO REACH MINUS 14 EARLY SATURDAY

The Tamaqua area is expected to receive between 1 and 3 inches of snow overnight tonight (Thursday, January 29, 2015), as well as wind chills reaching minus 14 late Friday into early Saturday.
Snow fall will start falling around 6:45 PM today and continue off and on until around 7 AM Friday, followed by intermittent flurries until noon. Temperatures will stay around 28 degrees Fahrenheit into Friday morning. Colder temperatures and winds will hit our area around 4 PM Friday and reach as low as 4 degrees early Saturday morning. Wind chills will range in the low negatives Friday night in Saturday morning.
