Members of the Blue Mountain Buccaneer Band will be performing at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center on Sunday, January 18, 2015 starting at 1 PM.
Information on the event’s Facebook page reads:
“Bill Clause established the Blue Mountain Buccaneer Band in 2007. He enjoyed “older” music, so he focused on creating a play list of oldies, country, and rock ‘n roll.
Four years before creating the band, in 2003, Bill entered a tune in the Nashville International Christmas Song and Lyric Writing Contest. His song finished in the top 20 of more than 300 entries. He had to choose a title, and was undecided how to title his tune. Ultimately he came up with Just Thinkin Bout Christmas, subtitled Little Girl Kisses. The pros on Music Row in Nashville recorded Just Thinkin Bout Christmas and published it on a compact disk entitled Catch a Rising Star.
The band looks forward to playing for a new crowd. Bill and the band members are thankful for faithful fans and always welcome new fans of the Blue Mountain Buccaneers Band. They are proud to be a local, Tamaqua Area musical group.
Members have formerly played in Zion’s Praise Band, Country Rock Image, Green Onion Band, and the Close Encounter Band.”
