An unidentified woman was taken to the hospital on a stretcher yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, January 14, 2015) after losing control of her car in Tamaqua.
Emergency personnel were dispatched around 1 PM to US209, just east of Sister’s Cantina for a single-vehicle accident with possible injury. The vehicle didn’t appear to suffer major damage.
Firefighters said a kid was also in the car, but wasn’t injured.
Responding were Tamaqua Fire Department, Tamaqua Police, Coaldale Police, Tamaqua Ambulance, Ryan Township Ambulance and others.
US209 was closed in both directions for about 25 minutes during the incident and cleanup.
Hope’s Towing removed the vehicles.
