Two people were transported to a hospital via ambulance following a two-vehicle accident yesterday morning (Wednesday, January 14, 2015) on US309 in Hometown (Rush Township).
Emergency personnel were dispatched to Claremont Avenue (SR309) around 7:40 AM, just south of the Lincoln Drive intersection.
Involved were a black Mercedes sedan and grey Mercury sedan. One person in each vehicle was taken to hospital.
Responding were Hometown Fire Company, Quakake Fire Company, Rush Township Police, Tamaqua Ambulance, Lehighton Ambulance and others.
SR309 was closed in both directions at times during the response. Hometown Fire Police volunteers controlled traffic around the scene for the duration.
Hope’s Towing removed the vehicles.
