Members of the Tamaqua Salvation Army are holding a 24-Hour Boundless Prayer in prelude to the 150th anniversary of a national Salvation Army program called “Global Call To 24-7 Prayer”.
Tamaqua Salvation Army Major Sharon Whispell said anyone is welcome to stop by anytime during today’s 24-hour prayer program.
The Tamaqua Salvation Army will hold their week-long Global Call To 24-7 Prayer event from 12 AM on Sunday, May 3, 2015 to 11:59 PM on Saturday, May 9, 2015.
Information on the Salvation Army website reads:
“Since January 2011, Salvationists from the Salvation Army worldwide have been called to pray unceasingly, crying out day and night for justice as part of the Global Call to 24-7 Prayer. Groups of Salvationists are saying yes to praying non-stop during their chosen time period. This means that someone from the registered Corps or Centre For Spiritual Development will have someone praying at all times.”
