Firefighters responded around 4 PM today (Wednesday, December 31, 2014) to a shed fire in the rear of 79-81 Valley Street (US209) in New Philadelphia.
Neighbors said on Facebook that the shed and all its belongings were destroyed by the fire. They added that firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring properties.
Schuylkill Parcel Locator lists Martin Mazloom as the owner of the multi-unit property. (link)
Responding were New Philadelphia Police Department and fire companies from New Philadelphia, Kaska, Cumbola and Port Carbon.
No serious injuries were observed.
No cause has been released.
