Seaman Recruit Gabe Bumberger, USN, of Tamaqua, was quick to receive hugs after surprising his younger brother and sister this afternoon (Monday, December 22, 2014) as they were dismissed from Tamaqua Elementary School. Alley Fucci, and Adam Bachert, both age 9, haven’t seen their brother since June 30, 2014.
Bumberger, who spent 2 months in Navy boot camp in Illinois and 4 months at sonar school in California, will head back to the naval fleet on January 4, 2015.
Stepmother Amy Walburn and father John Bumberger were also on-hand during the surprise reunion.
