DRYER FIRE IN LANSFORD; PLASTIC PIPING SLOWED RISING FLAMES (December 6, 2014)

Firefighters were called to 300 and 302 West Snyder Avenue in Lansford early Saturday night (December 6, 2014) for a dryer fire spreading up the wall of 302 West Snyder Avenue.
Officials said that a plastic water line over the dryer melted and spraying water on the rising flames.
Residents told TamaquaArea.com that they rushed to remove all their Christmas presents from the basement before they were damaged.
Responding were Lansford Police, Lansford Fire Company, Summit Hill Fire Company, Coaldale Fire Company, fire police and others.
No injuries were reported.
Neighbors and residents stated their appreciation for a quick response from all responding services.
