HARD AT WORK IN TAMAQUA

Plowing Snow, Borough Workers, Dutch Hill, Tamaqua, 12-11-2014 (10)Borough and municipal crews are working hard plowing streets and removing snow today (Thursday, December 11, 2014).
Light snow showers and flurries will last into the day, resulting in less than an inch.

A winter weather advisory this morning reads:

…Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 9 am EST this morning…

The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow…which is in effect until 9 am EST this morning.

* Locations…the central mountains and middle Susquehanna River valley.

* Hazard types…snow.

* Snow accumulations…2 to 3 inches.

* Timing…periods of snow will occur through the mid morning hours today. Light freezing drizzle may fall during lulls in the snow. The snow will lighten up late this morning.

* Impacts…slowed travel due to snow covered roads.

* Winds…northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Temperatures…in the upper 20s.
