Do you want a Christmas tree, but can’t afford one?
Schroeder Family Farms in Barnesville is donating 26 Christmas trees to the Tamaqua Salvation Army and Tamaqua Volunteer group.
If you are in need of a free tree, please call (570) 668-1234 to reserve your tree. No proof of income is needed. First call, first serve.
Trees must be picked up from the tree farm before end of day on Monday, December 15, 2014. Delivery is available upon volunteers’ schedules.
Major Sharon Whispell, Tamaqua Salvation Army, said, “Thank you Dan and Cindy Schroeder for your continued generosity!”
Members of the community are asked to help deliver trees. If you can help, please call (570) 668-1234.
In addition, if anyone has any new or old tree stands, feel free to drop them off at the Tamaqua Salvation Army, 105 West Broad Street, during the day.
Please do NOT call the tree farm to reserve a tree. No Facebook comments or messages accepted. You must call (570) 668-1234.
From Tamaqua Volunteers President:
“Please show your support for the Schroeders by purchasing your tree from them.
The tree farm is located at 555 Tuscarora Mountain Drive in Barnesville. Their phone is (570) 956-4642. Their website is SchroederFamilyFarms.com.”
