A woman was taken into custody after crashing her blue Chevy sedan into two parked vehicles along US209 (Water Street) in Coaldale on the night of Saturday, November 15, 2014).
The parked vehicles were an orange 2006 Saturn Vue and a maroon 2004 Chrysler Town and Country van.
While in the back of a Coaldale Police car, the unidentified woman could be heard screaming and yelling profanities. She could also be seen kicking the cruiser’s windows. With the assistance of Lansford Police, the woman was eventually moved to a Lansford Police car, which had bars on the windows.
Also responding were Tamaqua Ambulance and Coaldale Fire Company.
Coaldale Fire Police detoured traffic around the area during the cleanup.
