Members of the Tamaqua Salvation Army held their Kettle Campaign Kick-Off at 12 PM today (Friday, November 21, 2014) at the Depot Square Park in Tamaqua.
The event consisted of song, prayers and choir. DJ Franc was also on-hand during the event.
Speakers were Tamaqua Salvation Army Major Sharon Whispell and Tamaqua Salvation Army Board President Micah Gursky.

Throughout the holiday season, volunteers are needed to spend two or more hours ringing the traditional bells at designated kettle locations. Funds collected are used to support local needy residents in the Schuylkill-Carbon area.
