ROW HOME FIRE DISPLACES 21 PEOPLE IN SHENANDOAH; (VIDEO)

A fast-moving fire yesterday (Sunday, November 16, 2014) displaced 21 people in the 500 block of West Centre Street in Shenandoah.
Emergency personnel were called around 3 PM for a working structure fore at 505 West Centre Street (SR54). They arrived to see heavy fire and smoke at a vacant three-story structure.
Within minutes, the flames and smoke had spread to adjacent properties at 503 and 507 West Centre Street. Homes at 501 and 509 West Centre Street also suffered minimal smoke and water damage.
Officials stated at 21 were displaced from all the homes, 11 of which lived is 501 West Centre and 9 in three apartments at 507 West Centre Street.
Information from an online Republican Herald story gives the following names as those displaced:

· 501 W. Centre Street: Catherine Batista, owner; Jose Pena, Rosanna Almonte, Pedra Batista, Jansule Pena, Claire Pena, Jeleni Harville, Royney Harville, Patricia Bueno, Klarisa Pena and Sime Batista.

· 503 W. Centre Street: An unidentified woman who left the area with her son.

· 507 W. Centre Street, Apt. 1: Lauren Valentine, her son Elliot Valentine and Jessica Oshman; Apt. 2: Tiffay Cruz, her boyfriend Robert Peralta and daughters Jubylie Cruz and Rachel Sekela; Apt. 3: Jose Nunez and his cousin Marianela Nunez.

Authorities did not have the names of those living in 509 W. Centre Street.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Although they think the fire originated at 505 West Centre Street.

Responding were emergency responders from Shenandoah, Shenandoah Heights, Frackville, Mahanoy City, Englewood, Ringtown Valley, Lost Creek and so on.
Firefighters and other emergency responders remained on scene until around 7 PM last night. Around 11 AM this morning (Monday, November 17, 2014), firefighters were called to a rekindle at the row homes.
No serious injuries were reported in either fires.
The Schuylkill County Chapter of the American Red Cross responded and provided temporary housing and funds to those displaced by the fire, as well as snacks and hot refreshments to the emergency responders.
