Firefighters from multiple companies are currently battling a row home fire along the 200 block of West Lloyd Street in Shenandoah. They were dispatched around 7:07 AM this morning (Sunday, November 2, 2014) to the area of 208 West Lloyd Street for a kitchen fire. The status was changed to working structure fire a short time later.
Witnesses on scene state that multiple homes are on fire and about 4 or 5 families and their pets are displaced. The majority of the fire and smoke was contained to 210 and 212 West Lloyd Street.
The Red Cross was called.
As of 8:10 AM, witnesses told TamaquaArea.com that firefighters appear to have everything under control. Three of the homes have heavy fire or smoke damage.
No serious injuries were reported.
