A photography exhibition, titled “Darker Side of the Lens”, is on display at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center until Friday, November 14, 2014.
The exhibit features the works of Tom Applegate, of Lansford.
Below is information from the TCAC website:
Tom grew up in Tamaqua with a love of horror movies and appreciation for filmmakers such as Alfred Hitchcock. Whether it be a film or still picture camera, Tom always had one in his hand. Tom started out taking Glamour, Gothic, and Steampunk styled photos. Branching out from where he was he started taking photos of everything from stunning landscapes to the minute world of macro photography. Tom’s favorite style of photography is Chromakey Photography where he can create his own fantasy worlds through the use of backdrops. With Halloween being Tom’s favorite holiday he wanted to showcase his own signature style and he hopes you enjoy them as much as he did creating them.
The center is located at 125 Pine Street.
