GREAT WEATHER DRAWS LARGE CROWD DURING TAMAQUA’S HALLOWEEN PARADE; (VIDEO)

Yesterday’s (Tuesday, October 28, 2014) weather drew a large crowd during the Tamaqua Lion’s Club 48th Annual Tamaqua Halloween Parade. “This was the largest parade turnout that I’ve seen,” said Brian Keich, President, Tamaqua Lions Club.
Over 80 organizations/groups took part in the hour-long parade.
Placing top in the marching category were Tamaqua Raider Marching Band who earned first place, Marian Marching Band who placed second, and West Penn Girl Scouts (The Lego Movie) and Parents Against Bullying who both tied for third place.
Placing top in the float category were Tamaqua Cub Scout Pack 756 (Zombie Jamboree) who earned first place, Romig Auto (Monsters of 510 Haunt) who placed second, and Coaldale American Legion Post 170 (All Gave Some, Some Gave All) who placed third.
Overall winner was the Eclectic Circus with their “Undead Circus” theme.
The Tamaqua Lions Club stated their appreciation to all who participated or helped to sponsor the yearly event. They added appreciations to the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce, Tamaqua Wireless Association, Tamaqua Elks Lodge, and Tamaqua Fire Police.
