PICKUP TRUCK CRASHES INTO HOUSE ON LINCOLN STREET IN TAMAQUA

No one was injured this afternoon (Wednesday, October 22, 2014) after the male driver of a pickup crashed into an unoccupied home on Lincoln Street in Tamaqua.
The majority of damage to the home, 326 Lincoln Street, involved lower level garage and porch above it.
Owners of the home are Thomas and Maureen Bartasavage.
A witness on scene said the driver swerved to avoid hitting a mini bus traveling the opposite direction.
Tamaqua Borough officials were also on scene to investigate the stability of the home.
Hope’s Towing removed the vehicle.
