The Tamaqua Salvation Army is holding registrations for Thanksgiving Food Baskets and Christmas Toys For Tots, Angel Tree and Food Baskets starting Tuesday, October 21, 2014 and ending Thursday, October 23, 2014. Registration times are from 9 AM to 2 PM each day at the Tamaqua Salvation Army, 105 West Broad Street. These will be the only dates to register for both Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance – except for food basket make-up date.
Anyone who missed the October registration dates will still be able to register (for food baskets only) on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 9 AM to 2 PM.
Items required for registration include:
Proof of residence, identification for everyone in household, proof of all household income, expenses/bills, and official birth certificate for every child 12 years and under. Registered children must be age 12 or under at the time of sign-ups and through December 18, 2014.
Registrants must also have a working phone number or access to one.
If registrant is unable to pick up the donation(s) themselves, the person picking up must have a signed letter from the registration, an appointment slip, and the registrant’s identification and their identification.
Thanksgiving Food Basket Distribution is Monday, November 24, 2014 from 9 AM to 2 PM.
Christmas Food Basket, Angel Tree and Toys For Tots Distribution is Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 9 AM to 2 PM.
In addition, everyone, no matter your income, is welcome to attend the Tamaqua Salvation Army’s free Thanksgiving Day (November 27, 2014) Community Dinner between 11 AM and 3 PM.
