AWARDS AND PRESENTATIONS DURING LAND OF THE RUNNING WATER ADJUDICATION IN TAMAQUA; BANGOR PLACES TOP OVERALL

Awards, Presentations, Land of the Running Water Band Adjudication, Tamaqua, 10-11-2014 (105)The Bangor Marching Band won overall during the Land Of The Running Water (L.O.T.R.W.) Band Adjudication held at the Tamaqua Area School District Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 11, 2014. They were one of 10 bands (1,500 performers) competing during the adjudication. Tamaqua Area Raider Marching Band served as host of the event.

The results of the adjudication were as followed:
Nativity B.V.M. Green Wave Band, Pottsville, was awarded a rating of Good.
Bands from Mahanoy Area, Minersville and Shenandoah earned the level of Excellent.
Attaining the rating of Superior were Annville-Cleona, Bangor, Exeter Township, Pottsville Area, Tri-Valley and Wilson.
The Bangor Slater Band also took honors for Best Overall Drum Major, Best Woodwinds, Best High Brass, Best High Percussion and Best Band Front.
The overall award for marching and maneuvering went to Annville-Cleona, and the Michelle J. Potlunas Memorial Award for audience appeal was won by the Wilson Area High School Band from Reading.
