This afternoon (Thursday, October 16, 2014), Tamaqua Police and Pennsylvania State Police were seen investigating an alleged meth lab inside a vacant apartment above The Chili Dog restaurant, 130 East Broad Street, in Tamaqua.
According to Kathy Kunkel’s story on the Times News website, “The raid came after Tamaqua Police were alerted to an open door in the building, shortly after 11 AM. Knowing one of the building’s owners had passed away the night before, and aware that vandals have been targeting buildings in copper thefts, police contacted the family and were given permission to go inside.”
Charges are expected to be filed when the evidence is processed and investigation is complete.
