Tanner Manhart, 19, of Ashland, was taken into custody about 10 minutes after allegedly robbing the Rite Aid Pharmacy in Mahanoy City yesterday (Friday, October 10, 2014). Mahanoy City Police responded around 6:30 PM to a reported armed robbery at the Rite-Aid Pharmacy. Manhart is being charged with robbery, possessing instruments of a crime, terroristic threats, resisting arrest, assault, theft and various drug charges. Mahanoy City Police officers were assisted by the Mahanoy Township Police, Ryan Township Police and Shenandoah Police.
