
Owners Chris and Jennifer Evans, from Barnesville, held a ribbon cutting yesterday (Tuesday, October 7, 2014) for their Keystone Medical Equipment store at 203 Claremont Avenue in Hometown.
In addition to the Hometown store, the Evans operate two other stores. In 2008, they opened their first store (American Surgical Supply) in Pottsville. Two years later, they opened Keystone Medical Supplies in Jim Thorpe. “In addition to being closer to home, our Hometown store serves as a middle location between our other stores,” said Chris Evans.
The Evans have one son – Christopher Evans, who serves as warehouse manager for their Jim Thorpe location.
Equipment sold at the Hometown store consist of scooters, power chairs, wheelchairs, canes, crutches, stair lifts, lift chairs, commodes, hospital beds, bath safety, bedding, emergency alert systems, diabetic supplies, ostomy supplies, nebulizers, blood pressure monitors and so on.
“Our medical supplies range from mobility equipment to chronic medical condition supplies,” said Chris Evans, who added that all their services are Medicare approved.
