At 11:21 AM today (Thursday, October 2, 2014), contractors removed signs and barricades at both ends of the ‘Broad Street Bridge Over Little Schuylkill River’ to allow traffic to cross the bridge.
The sidewalk was opened to pedestrian traffic around the same time yesterday.
The first “civilian” vehicle to cross the bridge was a white sedan. TamaquaArea.com is not sure of the driver yet.
An official opening will be held at 2 PM today at the bridge.
Stay tuned for more updates.
