TAMAQUA’S EAST BROAD STREET BRIDGE COULD OPEN SOMETIME THURSDAY

East Broad Street Bridge Status, Sidewalks Open, US209, Tamaqua, 10-1-2014 (1)Today, (Wednesday, October 1, 2014), crews finished paving work on the East Broad Street (US209) Bridge in Tamaqua. In addition, contractors opened both sides of the bridge to pedestrian traffic.
Borough signs placed on street poles on the bridge enforce no parking on Thursday.
There are reports online stating the bridge will open sometime tomorrow around noon. As of tonight, there have been no press releases or official information stating the bridge will be opened to vehicle traffic tomorrow.
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
